As seniors think about life beyond Council Rock South, they picture themselves studying to become doctors, businessmen and women, accountants, engineers and so much more. They dream about the friends they’ll meet, the experiences they’ll have, and the college they’ll eventually end up attending.
As decision day is nearing and acceptance letters are trickling in, seniors are becoming more and more anxious about committing to a college. Some seniors have taken that first step towards their college experience and have already begun that journey! Here are a few seniors that have already committed:
Sarah Devlin
University of Pennsylvania
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Sarah was initially attracted to UPenn’s rigor and prestige in the nursing science program. She especially likes that “the nursing program offers a variety of opportunities, whether it’s hands on experience or research opportunities”. The program involves a lot of chemistry and statistics and so maybe that combination will lead her in a different direction, like public health. She loves that Penn offers a wide range of classes, and a wide variety of opportunities! Sarah is excited to meet people from all over the world and learn from them and their experiences. She cannot wait to soak up Philadelphia and enjoy its sites and delicious restaurants! She plans on working at the treatment research center this summer on campus. Great job Sarah!
Marisa Harding
West Chester University
West Chester, Pennsylvania
Marisa first fell in love with WCU when she went and visited the school. As she toured the school, she was immediately drawn to the schools atmosphere. She was attracted to the town, the size of the school, the schools opportunities, and of course, how close it is to home! Marisa aspires to get a degree in nutrition and dietetics, while also dancing for the West Chester Dance Academy. We wish you all the best Marisa!
Andrew Goldberg
Syracuse University
Syracuse, New York
Andrew knew almost immediately that he wanted to attend Syracuse. It met his college wish list: quality academics, a manageable driving distance, and a lively campus teeming with passionate students. Andrew plans on majoring in communications and recently visited the S.I. Newshouse School of Communications, ate at the renowned “Funkin’ Waffles” and attended a basketball game at the Carrier Dome. He has “never felt more confident” and is super happy with his decision to join the Orange! Congratulations Andrew!
