"I dance…for hope…for a cure…for courage, wisdom, honesty, and strength...for those who could not be here...for the kids.”
Council Rock South will be holding its third annual dance marathon to fight pediatric cancer. For twelve hours, over a hundred of our students will gather together to dance, play games, and support local families.
This inspirational student run event last year raised $12,832.58. The event will benefit the nonprofit Four Diamonds Fund.
Students need to raise a minimum of $35.00 to participate. The general public is welcome to stop by and watch for a suggested $5.00 donation.
Sarah Washerstein, senior and the main student organizer of this year’s Mini-THON, has been working hard since this summer to put together a team to exceed last year’s earnings and expectations.
“Through Mini-THON, we students represent how students can give back to children with cancer while having a good time and enjoying the presence of our peers," Washerstein said. "Mini-THON is a fun, heartwarming, and high spirit event.”
The Four Diamonds Fund mission is to conquer childhood cancer by assisting children being treated at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital and their families through care, support and innovative research.
